After two days of preparing for the bike trip to Tahoe, filling the van up with gas, buying things and preparing lunch, buying new gel bike gloves, preparing clothes, etc., etc., our leader e-mailed the group and said the trip is off because of winds predicted to be as high as 25-35 mph with wind in our face when we would be riding back to our cars. I just received another e-mail from the leader updating the wind velocity. Now it's up to 40 mph. Well, I am grateful he kept abreast of the weather because it would have been a long ride up there only to find the winds would have ruined our ride.
However, a new ride in Folsom's Lake Natomas area is planned. This area I haven't been to and am looking forward to it.
