SPOILING MYSELF ROTTEN AND LOVIN' IT

Today was a very hectic but fun day. I treated myself, again, to a shopping bonanza. I traveled down to the Folsom Outlet where Nike has a store. I purchased a very cute white tennis skirt and a black with white trim top. It’s one of those tops where the back is like a T shape. It has a good bra support and I was very happy with my purchases. I looked for some tennis shoes, since my 20-year-old ones are a bit too small. They didn’t have any tennis shoes or bags. The visors were too small, so on I went, with the help of my handy dandy GPS to a tennis shop which hardly had anything good to select from, and boy, were they expensive.

Next, my GPS easily let me find my way to Wal-Mart. This Wal-Mart is so hard to find in Folsom. I always ran around in circles and got very frustrated every time I had to find my way around a circular street and a jog among various intersections. I found two tennis tops to go along with my white shirt from Nike’s store I had just purchased. Across the street, I happened to notice Kohl’s, so inside I went to find a lot of tennis apparel from 30-70% off. I tried on several things, but came out with only a tennis skirt that was $28 reduced to $12. It’s so cute too. It’s black with a pattern of grey in it, has attached shorts underneath the skirt and will go really well with a grey top I purchased not too long ago. So, the next stop my GPS (I have to find a name for it) took me on was down to Big 5 Sporting Goods store. There I purchased a pair of Wilson’s tennis shoes. $56 regular price, on sale for $28. They had some tennis bags there, but not to my liking, so I decided to go back to Sports Authority again, even though I was there the other day, but failed to look for a tennis bag. Bingo! What a great, large, three zippered bag I found. Regular price $38, sale price $32. It’s really worth it. There’s a place that zippers either for balls or your drinking container on the outside. Inside it’s large enough to hold maybe four tennis rackets, clothing, shoes, purse, makeup, hairbrush, lunch. Just tons of room. You can even wear it as a backpack, that’s if you want to look like a fish. There’s a regular handle and over the shoulder strap. I’m considering just traveling with this bag, minus the tennis rackets or balls it’s so nice. That was my last stop. Thank you very much to my GPS guiding me around the maze of streets.

On my way home, there was just one more stop I wanted to make. It was a home for sale a couple miles from where I live. Before I left for shopping, I put in the address and this wonderful device brought me through the most winding, beautiful streets up higher in elevation. I would probably not have found this street by the internet and maps. It would have looked difficult to get to, so I would have abandoned the thought of having to go through all of that. If I would have decided to take on the challenge, I would have surely gotten lost, having to turn around on these not so wide mountain streets wasting more gas than what it was worth (and the home too, for that matter).

I tried to find the complete Owner’s Manual to my GPS where the Quick Start Guide told me to go on the internet, but failed to find it. Registering this electronic genius is a rough road to travel. Before you can actually register this device, you have to download a program. OK, I did that, but after about a half hour of downloading, it tells me it didn’t download correctly and I have to install some drivers. OK, I did that. Another half an hour. It never told me if I’m registered. I also tried finding any new updated maps to make sure I was using the latest maps. Since they’re for free, a nice feature of this model, why not? I never got there either. I believe, while playing around with it the other night, I came across what level of maps or programs the GPS had in it, but I tried finding it again, with no success. I guess I’ll just have to be diligent and try again. I have 60 days to register in order for my maps to kick in, so I have plenty of time. I’ll be sure to settle these problems within this 60-day timeframe. But for all I know, everything is up to date and I’m registered. Who knows? There’s no 800 number I can call. No number, for that matter. Anyways, here goes another project to investigate.
