Yesterday, while I was surfing the web, I thought of how years ago with the LA Wheelmen we rode the orange groves of Southern CA. I thought to myself, now what's up here that would be great to bike around on country roads? Wine country, of course. So I quickly started searching out easy/moderate paths in Napa, CA. This is the wine capital of the state. I found an easy/moderate ride to Lake Hennesey starting from St. Helena. The mileage is long enough so our two hour ride to Napa would be worthwhile.
I sent the trip and map to our leader of the Tahoe Trip and he said it sounded very interesting. So maybe that will be our next country road bike trip through vineyards of Napa Valley.
