IT'S THE PRINCIPLE OF THE THING

While I was cleaning my purse of receipts of my last shopping trip, I came across the receipt for the chicken I believed I purchased for $.79 a pound. I looked at the receipt, and although the chicken itself had a price of $.79 a pound the girl at the meat department marked down, the receipt said $.99. I was furious. Am I going to go back to that supermarket and get that chicken for $.79 that I spent almost, if not more than a half hour of my time to get? You're damn right! It's the principle of the thing.
