Sometimes I feel like painting, sometimes I feel like reading, sometimes I feel like sewing. Today I feel like blogging.
This next subject is about batteries.
I recently had to replace the battery that was in the hand unit of my home phone. After I went to my trusted Walmart for a replacement, since I bought my Panasonic phone there, I was dismayed and worried I wouldn't be able to replace the battery because they didn't carry it. Even another manufacturer of it didn't come to my rescue, so I went down to Radio Shack. They said they carried it, but didn't know when they'd get any more in or if they would get that same one in in the near future. Check back in a couple of weeks was suggested.
As I ventured down to K-Mart in hopes that probably would be my last stop, it wasn't. So CVS drug store was in the same shopping center, so I ventured in. Finally, GE made the same battery at a shell shocking price of $23.00!!! I purchased it, but I'm not opening the package and maybe some other store will have it at a lesser price.
Why so expensive? I've solved the regular AA and AAA batteries by buying rechargeable batteries and a recharger, since my cameras were in good use all the time. But a battery that can't be recharged. This is rediculous...$23.00.
