But I may have screwed up the nose. What do you think?

I've always been critical of myself, especially in art classes in college. People found something in my art that I just couldn't, except faults. It seems, though, my photography made me feel confident. I believe I've done some awesome things there at times and people were blown away with some of the captures I made. I even surprised myself at times.

Now in my blog, I'm turning that all around. Since no one really knows who I am, I guess I feel better putting my artwork out there. Maybe you'll be seeing more of my artwork. In fact, I know you will. I just received my Dick Blick art catalogues last week and ordered a whole bunch of "stuff" to do more artwork, not that I already have thousands of dollars in artwork "stuff".

I can't wait to get down to Southern California and get the rest of my art supplies. I miss them. Just looking at them and holding them in my hands gives me a kind of feeling I can't explain. What I do with them, well, is another story. Now, Buffy, (talking to myself in third person) there you go again criticizing your artwork. Yes, this blog is letting me turn a new leaf. I'm going to show the world my artwork and how wonderfully and hopefully how I improve with each showing. This will be my art gallery and hope people from all over the world will come to visit it. And you don't have to wait in long lines or admittance fees to see them!

Welcome world to my art world...

I do the same thing. I'm overly critical of what it is that I present to the world. And if given compliments on it, I shrug them off.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I think "Jake" turned out wonderful!
