THE WORD "GREEN"

Today is Earth day. Let's celebrate. Here at the library where I am right now, there is a celebration to make people aware of the "Green" of things.

There are a lot of the old "hippie" types out there on the lawn area of the library, selling as well as informing the public how to do the "Green" thing. Everything from hemp products to plants for your garden. A lady selling her photography in various forms; in frames and in card form for different occasions.

A band played softly, but still a bit too loud for me. A lot of tied died products to purchase and psychedelic patterns painted on materials. These are just a few of the observations I made while waiting for the library to open this morning.

But getting back to the word "Green," if I hear that word one more time....I'll scream until I'm "Blue" in the face.

I know with the oil spill in Louisiana going on and the serious environmental happenings in our world today, I'm just, well...sick of the word "Green."

Maybe after I get out of here, since I have my camera with me, I'll take some photos of this event and upload them here later on today or tomorrow.

Anyways, happy Earth day and hope you're doing or are thinking of doing something a little different in your lives to help all of our "Green" problems.

Amen.
